Treat someone sweet with these chocolate chip cookie bites!
You know what’s even more fun than chocolate chip cookies? BITE SIZE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES. You can eat a million and feel guilt free. Or at least eat a million, I’m easily guilted. But seriously, these cookie bites are so simple, and yet they looked ADORABLE all packaged up – and I’m getting ahead of myself.
Once upon a time I found these super sweet floral burlap bags at Creative Bag and insisted on buying them, with literally no plan. Lately I’ve been thinking how perfect they’d be for something small and edible (because all gifts should be edible) and I got the idea of doing one big cookie. Which would probably be equally cute, but because the bags have drawstrings it bothered me that the cookie didn’t fit perfectly. And thus was born mini cookies. This is hardly a tutorial because I’m not going to tell you how to put small cookies in a bag, BUT we did make you this printable tag to jazz it up a bit.
You can use whatever chocolate chip cookie recipe (or any kind of cookie!) you prefer. I use one my grandmother passed down to me from the age old source of the back of the Chipits bag, and pretty much have never tried anything different. Pro tip: scoop the dough into balls about 1/2 tsp big – and roll them up. I actually found that flattening them into the shape I wanted worked best – they didn’t flatten as much as regular size cookies do. But my kitchen was also a thousand degrees because apparently Toronto is now the desert, so that could have been responsible.
Add our printable favour tag and you have the perfect treat for someone special.
