This DIY dip dyed watercolour Valentine’s Day card is the perfect last minute greeting!
Happy Valentine’s Day! Need a little last minute project you can whip up on your way out the door? Today’s post is the perfect solution for a handmade valentine that you can literally make over breakfast this morning.
We made a greeting card the other day that was a little more involved, but when you’re running out the door for a dinner with your girlfriends, you might not have the time to whip up something like that. This DIY takes less than five minutes, and I promise you likely already have the materials at home!
All you need are:
- red food colouring
- a card & envelope
- a paint brush
- a marker
That’s right – this dip dyed watercolour valentine looks like a pretty piece of art, but you can make it using ingredients from the same cupboard you get your sugar for your morning coffee. Mix a little red food colouring in with a touch of water and blend. Paint the mixture onto the bottom of your card to create a watercolour ombre effect. I recommend starting at the bottom, so the colour is a bit more saturated. Let the card dry and write on a personal message.
It’s a great way to make something a little more heartfelt this Valentine’s Day, but on a budget – and a deadline!
How are you celebrating Valentine’s Day today?
