Make this sweet DIY Valentine’s Day card for a special someone that makes your heart soar!
Valentine’s Day is the best occasion to break out some personalized greeting cards, and so I’m always trying to think of new ways to handcraft valentines and greeting cards for that special touch. Handmade Valentine’s Day cards are the perfect way to show someone how much you care, and that’s why today I’m showing you how to make this super easy hot air balloon inspired valentine. Plus, tell someone how much they mean to you with the easy printable “Your Love Lifts Me Up” template.
The best part is you can probably make this card with supplies you already have around the house! All you need are some construction paper, a black marker, scissors and scrapbooking glue.
If you have a Cricut Explore One™ machine, you can use the scoring tool and a marker to have your machine precisely write the greeting card message (that’s what I did!).
Start by drawing two balloon baskets on the front of the card. Cut out four hearts from two different colours of construction paper and fold them all in half. Using scrapbooking glue, or another glue that won’t bleed through the paper, paste them onto the baskets so that they are glued on one half to the card, and loose on the halves that face each other. It should look like a “balloon” shape.
Either handwrite your message, or use your Cricut to copy our Your Love Lifts Me Up template.
Just a few easy steps but the end product is so sweet, it’s guaranteed to make someone smile!
