We have a super cute, VERY quick project for you guys today because a) we’re still recovering for the weekend and b) it’s actually way to hot to do anything actually involved. I guess part two of b) would be that there is this awful haze over the entire city and all our photos just looked sick (as in ill, not as in super talented and amazing) so we gave up.
That being said, with a little imagination today’s treats are STILL fun, and perfect for anyone hosting an engagement or bridal shower any time soon. With our printable you can make regular old fashioned donuts into ADORABLE engagement rings. Don’t feel like making donuts? Hey, neither did we. That’s why we picked up a couple from Tim Hortons (so Canadian of us) and just made a yellow glaze to get the golden colour. This colour did NOT photograph well at all, so apologies in advance, but trust us when we say that in PERSON these are very pretty and light gold with a little shimmer. I don’t know why they look like pieces of wood in these photos. Disappointing. I blame the weather.
That being said, weather woes or not, this project is as easy as printing, cutting, and assembling – which is perfect when you aren’t feeling too crafty in a heat wave OR when you’re putting together a real life engagement/bridal party and don’t want to deal with anything too elaborate, while still nailing those little details. We’ve all been there. Use the diamond template as a stencil to cut your diamond on glitter paper, or load it into Cricut Design Space to cut that way, and you’re good to go!
We hope you had a fun filled, relatively cool labour day weekend!
