We’re starting spring with this sweet lace mani!
It’s officially spring, which means bright colours, sunny days, the blooming of flowers and best of all wedding season is upon us. I have to be honest, until very recently I was never really into weddings. I mean I liked them, but I was not as into them as I am now. Lately I’ve been considering the idea of becoming a wedding planner, which means I’ve been getting inspiration all week long (I’m following Style Me Pretty on Facebook and it’s a constant bombardment of pretty!). Which is how I came up with this nail design! This lace mani is super cute, really easy to do and looks perfect for any upcoming bridal showers, weddings or just for spring.
You will need a couple of things to do this nail design: a base colour, a top coat nail polish, lace stickers and pearls. I got my lace stickers from a friend but you can find them in any store that sells nail polish. Also the pearls are optional, I just thought they went really well with the elegant design of the lace but you can opt not to use them.
Start by painting your base coat. I used Ciate “Ivory Queen”. It’s my first time using this shade and I really like it, it’s a really beautiful shade of salmon pink that really makes the white lace designs pop.
Next grab your stickers and begin cutting them into little strips. Place one on the finger and then trim the edges so the sticker fits perfectly on the nail.
I decided to use a variety of lace designs and place them all differently on my nails. As you can see I chose to do this swirly design vertically.
Continue to add the stickers on the rest of the nails. Finally you can add pearls to one of the nails like I did. If you’re not site how to do this visit my post where I explained exactly how to do this!
Finish off with a topcoat to seal it all in and you’re done! If you are an expert at hand drawing you can try to draw your own nail designs but I like using the stickers, it saves a lot of time and they look great.
