Happy Monday Party Girls! Ashley here (I know, on a Monday, it feels weird for me too). We’ve had an insane week, and Fernanda is away which means I dropped like every ball ever (did you like last week’s #FridayFaves? Oh wait, I forgot? Oops.). And I said I’d handle Mani Monday this week, because I’m a huge f$*%&ng liar. Full disclosure, I can’t paint my nails to save my life. It’s awful, and so horribly privileged and spoiled I hate to admit it, but I get manicures bi-weekly because not only can I not do it myself, but I’m notoriously difficult with my nails. I bite and pick and pretty much do everything wrong. So rather than pretend I could show you guys how to do something interesting with your nails when I consider it a victory when I open a shampoo bottle without chipping my manicure, I thought I’d round up a few of the nail designs I love. Like a #FridayFaves of manicures. On a Monday.
Neon Geometric Mani
How adorable is this manicure? It’s meant for the holidays, or something, but I don’t see any reason why you can’t use it to celebrate any odd day. You can get the full tutorial over at Studio DIY.
Minimal Tribal-Esque Mani
First of all, I didn’t name it that. The talented nail artist over at The Desi Wonder Woman did, but it’s fitting because it looks so legit. Like you should be hanging out in coffee bars and just enjoying looking like someone mysterious who enjoys Waiting for Godot. That’s my English major coming out – only like 2% of you will understand that reference. Those 2% are equally sad they had to experience Waiting for Godot.
Fernanda already did a watermelon mani because I’m obsessive about fruit and pretty much hounded her and she spoils me, but I strongly believe there is no such thing as too many watermelon manis. If you agree, you can catch this tutorial at Burkatron.
Colourful Geometric Mani
Considering I almost never do geometric nails myself, it’s kind of funny how crazy I am about them right now. This colourful design is from Chelsea King, who is legit a nail artist. Like that is her profession, sort of. I couldn’t find the direct link but I think all the others more than make up for that.
How’s that? So okay, I didn’t do a tutorial, and somewhere Fernanda is cursing me and shaking her head and telling everyone she can’t leave me alone with the Party Girl anymore. BUT you now have four super cute nail design options to show your manicurist (and have her duplicate) this week, so that’s almost the same thing.
