My favourite thing about having a blog is having dozens of baked goods lying around my kitchen all the time and struggling against the desire to eat them all. Just kidding, that’s the worst part. So in the effort of turning over a new leaf (and not eventually weighing 1000lbs) I’ve been giving everything away to friends – and what better way than to make those gifts a little bit prettier?
Today’s project uses a lot of leftovers from past things you’ve seen on The Party Girl. Which is fun to see how we can use leftovers, but it’s also a great way to clear out what I can only describe as a hoarder situation in terms of craft and party supplies in this apartment.
I was making little heart cookies (for another project, coming later) and made a few extra circles because I was just feeling like flowers. Using the rose icing technique and some leftover buttercream icing (from another project, also coming later) I made these mini rose cookies.
And then to package them up I used some boxes (also leftovers, from that time we made mini cupcake “treat yo’self” favours which were another fave) and this printable floral “oh, hey” tag, which is a) cute (it’s okay, it won’t go to my head) and b) fun and generic enough to be used for anything!
What do you think? You can use all the pieces to put together your own sweet little favour.
Psst – Catch us bringing the party everywhere here.
