St. Patrick’s Day sugar cookies packaged with a fun free shamrock printable
Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day! I can’t believe how fast March is flying by, and my fingers are only partially stained with green food colouring. I blame the spiked shamrock shake. Today’s post is the perfect semi-last minute St. Patrick’s Day treat, because thanks to this printable you can make pretty much whatever you’re best at. It’s the perfect finishing touch for and shamrock themed package.
My particular favourite gift idea is sugar cookies. They’re super easy to make, taste delicious, and are relatively inexpensive. I made these cookies during an episode of Parks and Recreation, to give you an idea of the time commitment involved. Pro tip? If you aren’t artistically inclined, use an edible marker to trace a shamrock onto your cookie. Then, pipe royal icing over your tracing and fill in. For the gold cookies, I used the same same template and spray painted edible gold paint, carefully removing the template afterwards and letting the cookies dry for a couple hours before wrapping them up.
You could package your cookies in anything you have handy, but I love these clear boxes because they’re so sweet and pretty – and they show off my cookies! Wrap your packages up with this printable shamrock and you’re good to go!
What do you think? Are you ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow?
