Check out these events that will make you want to brave the cold!
Warm your stomachs and spirits with this weekend’s fun packed events! If the maple syrup festival doesn’t make you get out from under your cozy blanket then I don’t know what will. I’ll be off skying this weekend (first ski of the season!) but you guys should definitely check out some of the events we have below.
Kensington Market Sweets Tour
Anyone that knows me knows that I absolutely cannot help myself when it comes to sweets. They are the most delicious thing in life and the one reason why I can’t go on a diet, I refuse to cut them out! So when I saw this Kensington Market Sweets Tour I just had to share it with all of you! Travel the world with Tasty Tours in one afternoon as you taste a variety of multicultural sweets in the crazy, colourful neighbourhood of Kensington Market. Did you know that the marshmallow used to be healthy? Find out the little known secrets behind the sweets we eat everyday, and try some new delicacies! You can get your tickets here.
I love living in Canada, because of this horrendous winter obviously 😉 But really because of how exposed we are to other cultures. Like the Chinese New Year! Did you know that this is the Year of the Sheep and you can ring it in at LunarFest. Take in the unique lantern installation, spectacular performances, culinary treats, traditional crafts, games and art at this Lunar New Year celebration! It’s taking place at Harbourfront Centre and it’s completely FREE (my favourite word) so you should definitely check it out.
Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival
If this isn’t Canadian enough for you I don’t know what is. Grab your beaver tails and head over to the Kortright Centre for Conservation to enjoy some sugary, gooey goodness, or what we like to call maple syrup! You’ll be treated to demonstrations, wagon rides, kids entertainment, family-friendly crafts, maple syrup samples and pancake breakfast. What are you waiting for! Get the rest of the info here.
What will you be doing this weekend?
