We’ve got your To Do list of things to do in Toronto this weekend covered!
We’re basically prepping for Super Bowl all weekend (and I wouldn’t have it any other way) as well as working on some SUPER ADORABLE blog projects for you the next couple weeks, but we’re WAY excited about our Winterlicious plans. And of course, for those of you who aren’t obsessive and are leaving their homes this weekend, we’ve got a few events worth checking out in Toronto!
Winterlicious
Guess what foodie fans? Toronto’s favourite restaurant party is back on the menu at a TON of amazing downtown restaurants, and if you haven’t made your reservations yet you should get on it, because Winterlicious starts January 30th! If you don’t know about Winterlicious, you’re missing out. Essentially all your favourite restaurants that you can’t usually afford have a special prix fixe menu where you can have a life-changing meal for a normal human price tag. It’s wonderful. It’s all on their website here.
Parisian Afternoon Tea
There are few things in the world I love more than tea and obscure French desserts. That’s why I think this is the best thing of life – for $80 you can learn from the pros Saturday 12-3 and make Madeleines, Financiers, Langues de Chat, Profiteroles and White and Dark Chocolate Mousse. I don’t know what half of them are but you know their delicious. Get more info here.
Writing Killer Web Content Workshop
Last week (was it last week? anyways…) we shared a intro to WordPress workshop and got a lot of feedback about how nice it was to see some blog-related events in the city, and I think that makes a lot of sense. Obviously we’re into blogging, it’s good to see what’s relevant to us in the community right? This is another good workshop for anybody looking to improve their website skills. Hosted at CSI Saturday 10-4, Camp Tech shows you how to build your brand’s voice and create consistent, authentic website copy to keep your readers into you! Get info and register here.
PPOP Up Market
PPOP Up Market is a monthly event that showcases different Artists, Crafters, Jewelers, Creators and Musicians. This month it’s happening February 1 (Sunday) at The Central 12-5, featuring brunch (!!!!) and cheap drinks (OMG) plus a ton of super cool vendors so if you’re looking for a chill morning out before your Super Bowl shenanigans this is the gig for you. Details on their Facebook Page.
Sweet Symphony
Sort of a tie in with Winterlicious, Casa Loma is bringing you an afternoon of treats and music on Sunday. Tickets get you the pick of miniature pastries and sweets (like cheesecake lollipops, holy lord) and a ton of other things I won’t even say because you will drool. Actually, You also get to check out the Quartet in their conservatory and explore the castle after the show, so it’s a sweet treat, in every way. Get more info and tickets here.
What are you up to this weekend? See something we missed? Let us know in the comments below, and tell us if you’re hitting up any TO restaurants for Winterlicous!
