Get out your day planner’s, we’ve got your Halloween plans in Toronto ready!
Today’s Weekender is a little slimmer than usual, mostly because we all know we’re likely spending Saturday and Sunday recovering from Friday, so why bother pretending we’re going to Shameless Karaoke at the Gladstone Saturday night, or the Pumpkin Parade, or anything. (But actually I’m holding out for the pumpkin parade, so maybe it’s all about goals.)
Figuring out where you should be Halloween is super tricky. We rounded up some of the most unique (and not over the top inappropriate, but you’ll find those ones too!) events Friday night to help you get a head start on where you’re taking your costume this Halloween.
Spooky Baby Boo-Boo Pop Up Photo Booth
Points for the most harmless and adorable Halloween event out there, if you have some costumed littles you want to show off this pop up photo op is the perfect chance. There’s snacks and a sweet custom designed backdrop to strike a pose with the whole family. If you want to hit them up follow the link to book your photo session. Get more details here.
First of all, I am a huge fan of anything that lets me attend prom again. I frigging LOVED prom (well, I loved planning prom, and driving to the after party with a giant masquarade themed wooden photobooth backdrop in the back of my pickup, oh, small town childhoods) so combine that with FREE zombie makeup and glam shots and it sounds like the best party every. Plus its 19+ so it’s prom without sneaking shots in the bathrooms (been there). The party is being held at the Palais Royale and you can get tickets and info here.
ROM Friday Night Live
Revisiting this gem from last week, this Friday night you can combine costumes and history with the Halloween themed FNL party. Your ticket gets you access to the ROM’s “Cabinet of Curiosities” featuring the weirdest and wackiest things the curators can pull out of the archives and put on display, so you KNOW there will be shrunken heads, and what’s a Halloween party without some ancient tribal ritual memorabilia, AMIRIGHT? Get more info here.
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air 90s Halloween
I’m not going to lie, I am OVER THE TOP excited to share this one. I have no words. I can’t even write a description except to say watch this and read the poster below and buy a ticket if you have nowhere else to be because some old school Will Smith nostalgia with people dressed as cats and pro wrestlers is basically the best Friday night you’ll have. Tickets here.
That’s it! What are you being for Halloween? Justin and I are headed to Fernanda and James’ for a party and half of us are PUMPED UP about it. The other half has yet to be bribed into the costume I’ve planned. I’m working on it.
