We’re finishing the month of fruit with a watermelon nail design!
It’s officially the last week of May, which means summer is right around the corner, although with the weather we’ve been having you’d think it was already summer. So let’s celebrate these warm, sunny days with another fruit nail design. I have come to love each and every of these designs that we’ve done, like the pineapple and cherry designs. They are fairly simple, cute and look so fresh and summery. But I have to say out of all of them this watermelon design is my absolute fave!
Start by applying two coats of your favourite coral colour.
Next we’re going to add a green edge on top of the pink base colour. This is your watermelon rind. I used a very thin brushed and lightly went around the entire edge of the nail. You may need to do a couple of coats of the green depending on how opaque your nail polish is (mine was kind of transparent).
Follow that by drawing a white line on the inside of the green edge. Finish it off by drawing your little seeds. I used a very thin brush and lightly pressed it on the nail so it would give me that tear drop shape.
Finish it off with a top coat and you’re done! This watermelon mani is the perfect nail design for summer 🙂
