Happy hump day!
I don’t know about you but I am so looking forward to this weekend. Not only is it a long weekend but it is the probably one of the last good weekends of the summer. I know, technically summer isn’t over until September 21st but with the summer we’ve been having we can’t be sure it’ll last a lot longer.
So lets enjoy the summer while it’s still here!! Here are the events that are happening in Toronto this weekend.
Celebrating summer in Toronto and the arts, 75 artists and artisans from acrosss Canada will gather for three days. You’ll be able to enjoy handmade pottery, glass, leather, jewellery, gourmet food, textile painting, live music and much more. And all in the beautiful Historic Distillery District!
Summer Sizzle Cruise
Let’s celebrate the final days of summer by heading out to the water, without having to leave the city. So why not join Captain Matthew Flinders on the Mariposa Cruises for the Summer Sizzle Cruise. Enjoy live music by Johnathan Ryan and enjoy the view of the city while boating through Lake Ontario. So get your sun hats out party girls!
Open Streets TO
Exciting things are happening in the streets of Toronto! An new urban recreational program has come to the city for one more day. Open Streets TO will close more than 5km of Bloor St. and Yonge St. to motorized vehicles, opening it up to cyclists, rollerbladers, joggers, walkers and any other recreational users. Also enjoy an outdoor cafe and musical performances. So don’t push that snooze button this Sunday, but instead head out and explore the city from a new perspective!
Whatever you have planned for this amazing long weekend, make sure to get out and enjoy the summer sunshine! 🙂
