Spring forward with this simple winter inspired floral nail design!
How wonderful does it feel to finally have long days again! I swear every year when the clocks change I’m like a brand new person, maybe it’s because we’re that much closer to warm sunny days!
This weekend I celebrated the upcoming spring days by enjoying one last day of skiing, which gave me a great idea for this week’s Mani Monday. That’s why this week the nail design is called winter floral nails, as it is a spring design that includes some winter elements in it. It was really easy to do, especially because I was going to a messier flower design which meant no time spent obsessing over it being perfect! So follow the pictures along to see how I created this cute and simple nail design.
I began by painting my nails white. This is the first winter element I included, which I thought was very fitting seeing as we still have snow on the ground.
Next I began painting my flowers, again while flowers always remind us of spring time I chose a colour that would suit better with the winter theme, this musky greenish/blue polish by Essie called “Vested Interests”.
After that I added the centre of the flowers and some branches, which I thought were perfect for this design seeing as winter is filled with empty branches. I actually ended up touching up these branches after taking the picture because I realized they looked a little weird. I just added some side small side branches to the main ones I had first painted to give it a fuller look.
Continue to do that on the rest of the nails and you have yourself a winter floral mani! Again super simple and quick, and a perfect way mix of winter and spring to liven up your nails 🙂
