This Thanksgiving macaron DIY is perfect for kid friendly fun this holiday!
Every Thanksgiving I try to bring my sibs some fun treats. It’s usually something tacky and turkey themed, and I get ridic into it. You can view the evidence of that here. And here. This year I found yet another dessert to shamelessly make into a turkey for them, and it’s so corny I’m obsessed with it. If you have littles at your Thanksgiving celebrations this weekend you need to give this a try. Because a) it’s so easy I did it during reruns of Mindy, and b) it’s too cute.
Cut ovals out of the paper and tape them together. You can use glue if the people you’re gifting these babies too have more discerning eyes than my five year old sister. Who, to be fair, is super discerning. But anyways, you can press the paper into the macaron filling, or use a toothpick to anchor it. Then, use cupcake icing (or royal icing, whatever you have lying around…which, in hindsight, is not normal and it’s weird I had both) to draw a face on the turkey.
