Need to get some gift shopping done? Get out your day planners and pencil in this weekend’s Toronto holiday markets!
We’ve still got shopping on the mind this week, and thankfully the weekend is delivering because once again there are so many super cute holiday markets in Toronto we’re going to cross names off our gift list in no time!
Here’s what’s happening this weekend:
I’m pretty big on floral arranging workshops these days, mostly because there’s almost always wine involved and really sweet girls, but also because it’s fun to learn how to make something you wouldn’t normally tackle on your own. That being said, I’ve been pretty jealous to miss out on all of the Sweet Woodruff workshops this season, but if you have better luck than me, they’re hosting another one this Sunday! Get warm and cozy with mulled wine and homemade wreaths at Love the Design, PLUS get 15% off the entire store. The workshop starts at 12pm. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a spot, and hurry because space is limited! To check out some snapshots of these workshops, head to the Sweet Woodruff Facebook Page here.
Junction City Music Hall is celebrating the success of their fall market by bringing another holiday themed shopping event to their venue this year. Timed to go with the Santa in the Junction event on Sunday, there are a ton of vendors selling vintage finds, housewars, handmade goods, baked goodies and more! There’s also a wrapping station with proceeds going to the Toronto Humane Society, so get your gifts to go! There will be mulled wine and hot toddys and Christmas music so if you’re a West end reader, this is your weekend adventure! Get more details on Facebook here.
Frost Fair @ Fort York
A holiday tradition for history nerds, Fort York puts on a weekend long Christmas market with a couple hundred years of history to add some festive charm. Merchants will be selling 18th/19th century inspired goods and you can try out some activities, keep warm by the bonfire, and give the littles some local lore while you’re at it! Details on the Fort York website.
Crown Flora Studio Market
I have a little crush on Crown Flora and their super sweet terrariums, but this time my obsession paid off because I heard about this little market and I’m SO excited! They’re hosting some of Toronto’s favourite makers and businesses in their Parkdale studio Saturday 11-6pm, so if you’re in the neighbourhood stop by for some local goodies, food and treats! Get more info at their Page here.
Kingston&Co. Upper Beach Holiday Market
For our East-side readers, the Upper Beaches are having a special outdoor holiday market Saturday 11-4 p.m at their location at 1091 Kingston Road. Celebrate the holidays with wholesale Christmas trees and wreaths, free hot chocolate, Santa Claus, carolers, local vendors selling handmade holiday gifts, and more! For more info check out their event post here.
And in case you missed it, a lot of the holiday pop up markets and events from last week’s Weekender are still happening, like the One of a Kind Show.
Oh, and in case you’re popping through Union Station this week, check out the first annual Union Station Holiday Market, featuring some mega-talented vendors in the historic Great Hall. Think of it as a bonus 😉
Happy holiday marketing!
